GENERAL ORGANISATION

Novatech is:

	A 3-day conference, with alternating plenary and parallel break-out sessions
	Nearly 220 communications, distributed between oral and posters presentations, results of research and feedback experiences, representative of the art state in the world (30 countries )
	A prestigious closing conference, which constitutes an event itself
	A display of scientific and technical posters and an exhibition featuring innovative products during the 3 days
	Special moments dedicated to the organization of meetings, talks with exhibitors and posters authors
	A post-conference technical tour, on the 4th day
	Enjoyable social events and a separate programme for accompanying persons.

Welcome and registration
- Sunday, June 24th from 5:30 pm at the Radisson Hotel.
- Monday, June 25th and the two following days, from 8:30 am, on the conference site.
Please note that your passport or identity card will be required every day in exchange of your translation headphone.

Official languages
English and French are the two official languages. Simultaneous translation will be provided for all sessions, and during the Technical Tours but not during the specialized workshops on Sunday, June 24th (English only).

Ice Breaker
A Welcome cocktail will be served on Sunday, June 24th from 6:30 pm at the Radisson Hotel; a privileged friendliness moment to meet again your colleagues from all over the world, in the highest tower of Lyon, which offers a panoramic view on the Gauls city.

Gala dinner
A Gala dinner will be organised on Tuesday, June 26th at the "Abbaye de Collonges". You will have the great pleasure of tasting Lyon's gastronomy, prepared by one of the most famous cook in France: Paul Bocuse.
A bus transfer will be organized both ways.
Departure 6:30 pm from Eurexpo, return nearby the hotel list (or at their proximity) and Eurexpo before midnight.

Free meetings
Monday June 25th afternoon, starting from 4:00 pm, constitutes a privileged time to meet poster authors and exhibitors. It is also the good moment for free meetings organisation (working groups).
Please contact the secretariat for meeting room reservation.

Novatech proceedings
The registration fees for the Novatech conference include a copy of the proceedings and the CD-Rom.
The Novatech proceedings include all the presented papers (oral presentations and posters) during the conference. Each paper is developed on 8 pages, in French or English, and preceded by a summary in the two languages.
A proceedings sending service after the conference is proposed to facilitate your return-trip. Just give your personal copy to the hostesses at the end of the conference and they will be sent to your office. The proceedings weigh about 4kg. This option has to be selected when registering.
A CD-Rom, with all the presented papers will be sent a few months after the conference.
You can order additional proceedings copies or previous Novatech proceedings, paper edition or CD-Rom.

Accompanying persons
The programme proposed to the accompagnying persons is quite simple, so that they will have plenty of time and will be free to visit the city and the region on their own. A touristic kit and transport tickets will be provided to enable them to make the most of their stay in Lyon.
- A meeting point is proposed on Sunday, June 24th, at 6:30 pm, for the Ice Breaker at the Radisson Hotel.
- A guided tour of Lyon is organized on Monday morning, followed by a friendly lunch in a "bouchon lyonnais" (traditional restaurant).
- On Tuesday evening, accompanying persons will share the Gala Dinner with all the conference participants at the Paul Bocuse's restaurant in the "abbaye de Collonges".
- They also can register for the technical and touristical programme of Thursday.

Travel discounts

SNCF: Ask for the discount ticket with your registration. We will send you the discount ticket for the French railways. .
You will benefit, on presentation of the discount ticket, a reduction rate of 20 % on the full price on all the SNCF railway when booking:
- in a SNCF railway station
- in a travel agency registered by SNCF
Please consult the SNCF travel agencies in the world.
The reduction is not applicable for online bookings on the SNCF Internet Website

Air France, official partner of Novatech'2007 conference, grants attendees substancial airfare discounts in order to attend the conference. Discounts are applied to:
- a wide range of airfares, in all classes of travel (Espace Première, Espace Affaires and Tempo),
- on all flight worldwide of the Air France network
- from June 19th to July 3rd.
Make use of the 10% rebate on published public fare where there are no travel restrictions and which offer total flexibility.

To reach Lyon-France

BY PLANE
Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport located 25km away from Lyon centre, provides connection with more than hundred cities, half of which are international. To reach Lyon city centre:
- the Satobus shuttle connectsthe Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport to Lyon Part-Dieu railway station in 30 mn and Lyon Perrache railway station in 50 mn; departures every 20 minutes (one-way ticket: 8,60€; round-trip ticket: 15,20€).
- taxi, fare is around 50€.

BY TRAIN
Pay attention, there are three SNCF railway stations:
- Part-Dieu Station and Perrache Station in the city centre
- TGV-railway station at the airport Lyon Saint Exupéry.

BY CAR
The Convention & Exhibition Center of Eurexpo, located east of the city, can be easily reached by car. (Highway A43 and the rocade Est).

EASY - LYON LOCAL TRANSPORT
The city centre is very well served by public transport (tram, subway and bus) until midnight. We will provide you a plan.
The tramway T3-Léa connects the Part-Dieu railway station (Gate Villette) to the stop "Vaulx en Velin - La Soie" in 15 minutes, every 8 minutes. A shuttle bus will then connect the stop "Vaulx en Velin La Soie" of the tramway T3-Léa and the Convention & Exhibition Center of Eurexpo during the whole conference. This shuttle bus runs from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Precisions about access and transport will be communicated to the conference participants.

CLIMATE
End of June is summer and it can be very hot in Lyon! Average minimal and maximum temperatures are respectively of 15°C and 25°C.

CREDIT CARDS
The majority of the credit cards are accepted in most of the hotels, restaurants and shops. It is preferable to change the travellers' cheques in the banks.
NB: there is no exchange office on the conference place.
